Lloyd Greene began developing the Millstream in 1954. He built the buildings, designed and manufactured school record players, re-built the dam and generated hydro-electric power with a water wheel and turbine on the site. In 2011, the Millstream Foundation was created by Lloyd Greene to carry on his legacy and make this lovely property available for the education and enjoyment of Chelmsford residents. The Millstream Foundation is looking for volunteers to continue Lloyd’s vision of utilizing the buildings, tools and water resources on site.
